Anderson wins party endorsement in District 12B
Minnesota Rep. Paul Anderson, R-Starbuck, received the unanimous endorsement of Republican House District 12B delegates at the party's endorsing convention held in Sauk Centre May 5.
First elected in 2008, Anderson currently chairs the Agriculture Policy Committee and serves on Agriculture Finance, Job Growth and Energy Affordability Policy and Finance along with Property Tax and Local Government Finance Division.
"It's been a privilege to serve the residents of this part of the state these past years," said Anderson. "If re-elected, I plan to continue to work on issues for greater Minnesota."
Anderson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Morris, and is a fourth generation family farmer in Pope County. He and his wife, Faith, have three grown children and four grandchildren. Anderson is a former township officer, school board member and Pope County Commissioner.
In Douglas County, District 12B includes Alexandria Ward 1, precinct 1; Alexandria Ward 5, precinct 1; the cities of Forada and Garfield; and the townships of Hudson, LaGrand, Lake Mary and Orange. It also includes parts of Pope and Stearns counties.
