The Douglas Soil and Water Conservation District is holding a conservation practices bus tour Tuesday, Aug. 6.

The guided tour will feature several stops highlighting successful conservation practices throughout Douglas County. The practices will include: ag waste; conservation tree planting; grazing; lake shore restoration; no till/strip till practices; pollinator plantings; streambank restoration; terraces; water and sediment control basins; and wetland restorations.

The tour departs the district's office at 900 Robert St. in Alexandria at 9 a.m., and returns by 3 p.m.
