Fishing pier breaks free from Lake Brophy County Park

Part of the pier was spotted floating across the lake on Friday

Part of the fishing pier from Lake Brophy County Park near Alexandria floats in Lake Brophy near County Road 82 on Friday, April 28, 2023. Ice pushing up broke the dock free from its cabling and wind pushed it across the lake along with the ice. The dock has been returned to the park and the parks department plans to get it back together and in the water before the fishing opener.
