A woman has been charged with four crimes in relation to July 30's apartment fire in Osakis.
Christine Padalino, 51, has been charged with the following:
Felony 1st degree arson;
Felony 2nd degree burglary - unlawfully enter of a dwelling without consent with the intent to commit a crime;
Misdemeanor obstruction of legal process - intentionally interfere with or obstruct a firefighter; and
Misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
According to the statement of probable cause filed by Douglas County, Padalino lit a chair on fire in her apartment, after which time she went into another apartment and attempted to light a second fire.
She was interrupted by first responders searching the building at 480 A W Main St. before she could light the second fire, the statement read.
Osakis firefighters and police, with the assistance of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, responded to the fire a little before 8 p.m. on Friday, July 30.
The Osakis Fire Department was able to contain the fire to one unit, but residents of the building still needed to be evacuated.
No injuries were reported.
