A vehicle that caught fire in Carlos Township Tuesday night was deemed a total loss by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, which responded to the fire along with the Carlos Fire Department.

The fire, at 4255 County Road 11 NE, was reported at 8:23 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4. Sheriff's deputies were the first on scene but were unable to extinguish the fire. The fire department arrived later and put the fire out.
