Fire destroys shed at business near Garfield Saturday morning

A shed that was part of Lake Life Services was destroyed in an early morning fire near Garfield.

An early morning fire resulted in the destruction of a shed at a dock and lift business near Garfield early Saturday morning. The building, which was part of Lake Life Services owned by Sean Hanson, was located at 6043 County Road 22 NW.

At about 6:47 a.m., April 24, Douglas County Dispatch received a call reporting a structure fire at that location. When deputies arrived they found that it was fully engulfed in flames.

The Garfield, Brandon and Alexandria fire departments responded and were able to extinguish the fire. However, the shed and the property inside were a total loss. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal.

Also assisting at the scene were North Ambulance and Garfield First Responders.
