Fergus Falls robbery suspect found dead

A man suspected of robbing a convenience store in Fergus Falls Tuesday was found dead this morning, the victim of an apparent suicide, according to authorities.

A man suspected of robbing a convenience store in Fergus Falls Tuesday was found dead this morning, the victim of an apparent suicide, according to authorities.

Otter Tail County sheriff's deputies were called to an armed robbery at the Big Chief convenience store at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.

The suspect left the area with undisclosed items.

Deputies checked the area and didn't find any suspects.

Shortly after 7 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, the sheriff's office reported that the suspect was found deceased in his vehicle south of Fergus Falls from a self-inflicted injury.

The case is under investigation and the suspect's name was not released.
