Graduation will take place for the Osakis High School Class of 2020 on Friday, May 22.

The ceremony will take place in the athletic complex parking lot starting at 6 p.m. The ceremony will be broadcast on KMGK-FM “Smooth Magic” 107.1.

A parade will begin at 7 p.m. and will go through Osakis as follows:

Athletic complex to West Queen Street to Eighth Avenue West to West Nokomis Street to Sixth Avenue to West Main Street to Eighth Avenue East to East Lake Street to First Avenue West to West Pike Street to Seventh Avenue West to West Oak Street back to the south parking lot.

One vehicle per student will be allowed in the parade, and vehicles must be driven by an adult and not the student.

Brandon-Evansville parade

Although the actual graduation ceremony is set for Saturday, June 27, a parade for the Brandon-Evansville Class of 2020 will take place this Saturday, May 23, at 1 p.m.

Saturday was the original graduation date, but because of COVID-19, school administrators moved the graduation ceremony to the end of June.

People are encouraged to step out and yell, wave, clap and cheer during Saturday’s parade.

The route will begin and end in Brandon on Central Avenue North near Gardonville Cooperative. It will go from Central Avenue North to Burlington Road Northwest to Hayes Avenue and then back to Central Avenue North.

In Evansville, the parade will line up and start on State Street (County Road 1) close to Nelson Street, near Evansville Senior Living. It will go from State Street to Main Street to Gran Street to County Road 82 into the parking lot of the Evansville School, where it will end.
