Alexandria Area High School's Math League members handily won top honors in its second meet of the season on Nov. 18. They racked up 44 points to second-place Pelican Rapids' 37 points in the eight-team competition.
Alexandria is in first place in the West Central Division. Math League members, who are in grades 9-12, solve algebra, geometry, advanced algebra, trigonometry and pre-calculus problems.
Alexandria’s top individual scorers during the meet were Zachary Timm, with 10 points out of a possible 14, and Gabe Schneider with 9 points.
Meet participants also included Truett Berglund, Amanda Bittmann, Tia Bomstad, Christian Fleming, Sarah Jiang, Ethan Johnson, Makayla Klimek, Nathan Klimek, Dylan Nelson, Zander Roemer, Aaron Safarik, Ashton Schlosser, Berg Swanson and Jacob Tiegen.
Alexandria’s next meet is Monday, Dec. 9 in Fergus Falls.
