Those who put their lives on the line for their country deserve our utmost respect and appreciation.
That’s why the Echo Press is printing “Salute,” a special publication honoring the veterans of Douglas County.
The newspaper is encouraging people to submit photos of veterans that will be included in the publication, free of charge.
Readers may email the photos to projects@echopress.com ; or by mail to Echo Press P.O. Box 549, Alexandria, MN 56308, Attn: Veterans; or by stopping in our office at 225 7th Ave. E. during office hours – Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
With the photo, please include the following information: service member's name; years of service; branch of military; if deceased, date of passing; name of person submitting photo; and phone number of person submitting the photo. For the return of photos, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope or stop in our office for pick-up.

Space is limited so photos will be printed on a first come, first serve basis.
The publication will be included in the Echo Press in November.
