Carlson Music Center in Alexandria will be hosting a "Fingerstyle Guitar Workshop with Doyle Dykes" on Tuesday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Dykes is a master of inspiring guitarists at all skill levels to get excited about playing music.

Those interested are encouraged to spend a couple of hours with one of the greatest guitarists in the world - and to leave fired-up and ready to tackle playing the guitar with renewed vigor.

Chet Atkins, a Nashville star, said, "Doyle is one of the finest finger-picking guitarists around. I sincerely admire him as a person and as a musician."

The event is free to the public. Advance reservations, however, are recommended, as seating is limited.

Dykes' is a guitar legend in the making. Although influenced by a wide variety of musical styles and musicians from the country of Chet Atkins to the rock and roll of Duane Eddy and the Beatles, Dykes has developed a distinct, recognizable sound that amazes audiences with skill while capturing hearts with sincerity and soul.
