ALEXANDRIA — Douglas Soil & Water Conservation District will host their annual Tree Open House on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at the USDA Service Center directly behind McDonald’s on Highway 29 North in Alexandria. Stop in between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to enjoy cookies, coffee and apple cider.
SWCD and NRCS staff will be on hand to assist you with planning, layout and species selection for your tree planting projects. Other items and topics that will be discussed are fabric installation, tree tubes, and cost share opportunities. Tree orders placed after March 1 may not be guaranteed.
If you are unable to attend the Tree Open House, but still want to order trees or have help designing a plan, call or stop by the office to schedule an appointment with Andy.
