Academic honors
The following students were named to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities dean's list for 2021 fall semester for earning a GPA of at least 3.66. Scholarship
Two local students received scholarships through The Central Lakes College Foundation, which distributed $167,846 for fall 2021 scholarships. They are Tristan Johnson of Alexandria, who received scholarships from the Staples Student Senate Scholarship Fund and Don Wig Memorial Scholarship Fund; and Chaeli Falzone of Osakis, who received a scholarship from the Ione Johnson Estate Scholarship Fund.

Other honors
Colton Koehn, son of Dave and Ella Koehn of Alexandria, has been admitted to North Dakota State University “With Distinction.” He will enter NDSU in fall 2022 and plans to major in civil engineering with a minor in math. Distinction means that NDSU is acknowledging Koehn as an honor student. In high school, Koehn is active in swimming, tennis, and Key Club and is an Alexandra Area High School Ambassador.
