A link is now available for members of the public unable to attend the Pilgrim Point Park open house in person.

The open house will be held Wednesday, April 28, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Douglas County Public Works building at 526 Willow Drive in Alexandria. People will be able to see concept drawings of the future park and beach recreation area, and offer further comments.

Douglas County commissioners approved the purchase of 8.2 acres of land at Pilgrim Point on Lake Ida last fall. The county is working in coordination with a development group to build a road and bike trail into the park.

Once the public weighs in on the draft plans, the county can move forward with its decision-making process.
