Alexandria Blizzard players celebrated after their dramatic come-from-behind win against Bismarck Sunday. The team won the Central Division title and will take on Bismarck at the Runestone Community Center this Friday and Saturday night in the playoffs. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

The Alexandria Blizzard hockey team pulled off an amazing accomplishment over the weekend - winning its last three games of the regular season and rising from third place to first. Sunday's contest was a thriller for the hometown crowd at the Runestone Community Center: Trailing 3-0 in the second period, the Blizzard roared back to defeat Bismarck in overtime to capture its first-ever Central Division title. The improbable turnaround marked the first time this season the team has been at the top of the standings. The Blizzard will move on to the playoffs this weekend, hosting Bismarck to begin a best-of-five-game series.
