Carlos woman seriously injured in Highway 29 crash Saturday

The crash was reported at 1:29 a.m near Carlos Corners, the intersection of Highway 29 and County Road 13, about a mile west of Carlos.

CARLOS — A Carlos woman suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 29 near Carlos Corners early Saturday morning.

The crash was reported at 1:29 a.m near the intersection of Highway 29 and County Road 13, about a mile west of Carlos.

Jodie Mae Tatro, 37, was driving a 2011 Chevy Tahoe north on Highway 29 when the vehicle left the roadway and entered the northbound ditch, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Tatro, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Alomere Health in Alexandria with life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, the report said.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Carlos Fire Department and North Memorial Ambulance responded to the crash.

Road conditions were wet at that time, according to the crash report.
