Brush and Palette Club elects new officers

The Brush and Palette Club of Alexandria has elected new officers for 2008. The new officers are Janet Bert, president; Nadine Peters, vice president; Vivian Annen, treasurer; and Ruth Barsness, secretary.

The Brush and Palette Club of Alexandria has elected new officers for 2008. The new officers are Janet Bert, president; Nadine Peters, vice president; Vivian Annen, treasurer; and Ruth Barsness, secretary.

The Brush and Palette Club was organized in 1965. The membership consists of amateur artists to professional artists who paint in various mediums. They meet every Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. to noon at United Methodist Church of Alexandria.

The meetings consist of painting, projects sharing techniques and business conducted by the club. The club annually conducts various workshops that are open to the members and the public, as well as participating in local art events and competitions.

Anyone interested in any medium of painting is encouraged to join. If interested in checking out the club, call the membership chair, Lhyne Campion, at (320) 759-2102.
