A Montevideo man suffered serious injuries in a bicycle accident on Interstate 94 near Evansville Saturday afternoon, May 30.
A little after 1 pm., the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a bicyclist was possibly hit on I-94 near mile marker 85. Douglas County deputies, Evansville Fire Department, Ashby Ambulance and North Memorial Ambulance responded to the location.
Early investigation shows the victim, John Lynne, 60, of Montevideo, was traveling eastbound and was found laying in the right lane near the fog line, according to a witness interviewed by the sheriff’s office.
Lynne sustained severe, but non-life threatening injuries and was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital by Life Link helicopter.
It is unclear if another vehicle was involved in the accident at this time. The incident is under investigation.
