Anderson Funeral Home to host grief seminars starting April 4

The seminars are intended to meet the needs of anyone working through the grief process resulting from the death of a loved one and to provide support to get through the steps of grieving.

ALEXANDRIA — Grieving the death of a family member can be hard and painful.

Here’s a way to find support: Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is sponsoring morning and evening grief seminars, “Growing Through Our Grief.”

This spring, the seminars will be held at Anderson’s on Broadway, 801 Broadway, Alexandria.

The seminars will start Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. from April 4 through May 9 and Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. from April 4 through May 9.

Jeri Dawson, grief care coordinator at Anderson Funeral Home, will lead the seminars. The seminars are intended to meet the needs of anyone working through the grief process resulting from the death of a loved one and to provide support to get through the steps of grieving.

There is no charge and everyone is welcome to participate. Feel free to come for the second time as well.

Each session will include information and education on some of the primary stressors associated with the death of a loved one. The sessions will last approximately one and one-half hours.
