Alexandria woman injured in Otter Tail County crash on I-94

The two-vehicle crash resulted in only minor injuries.

An 18-year-old woman from Alexandria was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 in Fergus Falls Township on Tuesday, Aug. 24.

Ciarra Scheunert was driving a Volkswagen Passat west on I-94 near Otter Tail County Road 88 when the vehicle drifted into the median and she lost control, according to the State Patrol. A Kenworth semi truck, which was also heading west, collided with the driver's side door of the Passat.

Scheunert, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and wasn't hospitalized, according to the State Patrol accident report.

The semi driver, John Sterling of Syracuse, Indiana, wasn't injured.

The crash happened at about 1:15 p.m.
