Alexandria speech team takes 5th

On Saturday, March 19, the Alexandria speech team contended at the speech meet in Detroit Lakes. The team took fifth place as a team out of 20 competing schools.

On Saturday, March 19, the Alexandria speech team contended at the speech meet in Detroit Lakes. The team took fifth place as a team out of 20 competing schools.

Individual achievements after three rounds went to the following students: Hayley Thull, fifth place, creative expression; Alex Blaser, sixth place, extemporaneous reading; Caroline Roers, fourth place, great speeches and fifth place, original oratory.

Honorable mention ribbons were awarded to Mariah Lichty for creative expression; Lydia Gusaas for extemporaneous reading; Katelyn Steffel for poetry; and Alex Blaser for drama.
