A 44-year-old man was airlifted to the St. Cloud Hospital following a two-vehicle crash that happened Wednesday, June 23, on County Road 82 shorty before 7 p.m.

Jesse Klug, who was initially transported to Alomere Health in Alexandria and then later airlifted, was reportedly stopped westbound on County Road 82 to make a turn into a private drive near the address of 6536 County Road 82 between Alexandria and Garfield, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

The other driver, Sean Hanson, 44, of Alexandria, reportedly struck Klug from behind, according to the sheriff's office. Hanson was reportedly uninjured.

When deputies arrived at the crash, they found both vehicles – Klug was driving a 2007 Volkswagon and Hanson was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado – in the south ditch. The sheriff's report noted that the Volkswagon had extensive rear end damage while the Silverado had extensive front end damage.
