ALEXANDRIA — An Alexandria man charged with a felony sex crime made his first court appearance.
A hearing in the case of Nathan Eric Larson, 37, was held on Wednesday, March 8, at the Douglas County District Court.
Larson has been charged with felony criminal sexual conduct in the third degree — engaging in sexual penetration with another person by use of force or coercion.
The charge stems from an incident in July 2021 in which Larson allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who was riding in his taxi.
According to the statement of probable cause, analysis revealed the presence of a Y-chromosomal profile that matched Larson's DNA.

The terms of Larson's release state that he must post bail or bond with no conditions in the amount of $30,000. He is not currently listed on the Douglas County Inmate Roster.
If Larson is convicted, he faces 15 years imprisonment and/or a $30,000 fine.
