A Miltona man was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 29 north of Alexandria Thursday afternoon, May 21.

Justin Rheaume of Miltona, 36, was driving south on Highway 29 in a 2013 Kia Optima and was about to turn left onto County Road 73 when a 2008 Dodge Avenger, driven by Brian Wittrock, 37, of Parkers Prairie, struck the back end of the Optima, according to the State Patrol.

The collision caused the Optima to spin around and enter the ditch.

Rheaume suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Alomere Health by North Memorial Ambulance.

Wittrock was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the accident report.

The crash happened at about 3:45 p.m.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Alexandria Police Department and North Memorial Ambulance responded to the scene.
