Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 near Evansville on Sunday, Dec. 29.
Matthew Stephen Dufner, 23, of West Fargo, North Dakota was driving a 2019 Nissan Frontier west on I-94 near milepost 84 in Evansville Township while Brandar Abdulkarim Albaiji, 39, of Grand Forks, North Dakota was also driving west in a 20019 Nissan Maxima, according to the State Patrol.
Albaiji was in the left lane and lost control of the Maxima and it hit the Frontier in the right lane. The Frontier rolled and both vehicles ended up in the ditch.
Dufner and his two passengers, Adam James Dufner, 19, of Fargo and Jennifer Ruth Dufner, 21, of West Fargo, were all transported to the hospital in Fergus Falls by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. They were all wearing seat belts.
Albaiji wasn't injured.
The crash happened at about 5:50 p.m. and the road was wet.
