A crash Monday night on eastbound Interstate 94, near Osakis at exit 115, sent both drivers to the hospital and closed down a portion of the freeway for under two hours.
The crash was reported at 7:37 p.m. near milepost 115, in Todd County's West Union Township.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2017 Peterbuilt truck driven by Ryan Higley, 48, of Rushford, was going east in the left lane of I-94 when a 2018 International plow truck driven by Jeremy Glawe, 37, of Hoffman, pulled off of the right shoulder to cross the freeway.
The collision of the trucks caused eastbound traffic on I-94 to be detoured to the exit 115 interchange off ramp and then back to the on ramp. The interstate reopened at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Higley and Glawe were both taken by North Ambulance to Alomere Health in Alexandria with non-life-threatening injuries.
