An SUV and a construction tractor collided on a Douglas County highway Monday morning, sending one adult and four children to the hospital.
The crash was reported at 6:48 a.m. July 15 on Highway 27, near County Road 1, in Solem Township.
A construction tractor driven by David Reque, 58, of Farwell, turned east onto Highway 27 from County Road 1 and accelerated when it was rear-ended by a 2010 Lincoln Navigator that was also going eastbound on Highway 27, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The Navigator was driven by Megan Vanscoik, 29, of Alexandria, who along with four passengers were all transported to Alomere Health for precautionary evaluation, the state patrol said.
The passengers included: Jaelynn Fenning, 8; Daetynn Vanscoik, 6; and Lucas Hookom, 1, all of Alexandria; and another 1-year-old boy who was not identified.
Reque was not injured.
