An 8 a.m. appointment at Dentistry at the Center in Alexandria almost switched from a walk-in to a drive-through Wednesday, when a sport utility vehicle crashed into office windows.
The crash, which was reported at 8:01 a.m. July 3, broke two large plate-glass windows and damaged the frame, sending an office assistant running out of that particular office. At the time, no patient was sitting in the dentist’s chair that almost stretches up to the wall that was hit.
The driver was identified by Alexandria Police as Mary Kuhn, 74, of Brandon, who told police that her gas pedal stuck. After Kuhn struck the strip mall building, police say she backed up and struck two vehicles, causing minor damage to both.
The airbag in her 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe deployed, and she was transported to Alomere Health.
