The villain who fed a body into a wood chipper in a famous scene from the movie, Fargo, was in Alexandria today, Monday.
The actor, Peter Stormare, and a Swedish film crew visited the Runestone Museum as part of a project researching the Kensington Runestone.
Stormare, 64, who is from Kumla, Sweden, appeared in Fargo, The Big Lebowski, Prison Break, the popular TV series, Longmire, and had many other TV and movie roles.
The crew is collecting footage at multiple sites around Minnesota that may have Middle Age Nordic connections, like Kensington Rune Stone Park (where they filmed Sunday) and a gravel pit in Ashby.
"It was a pleasure to host the Swedish film team," said Amanda Seim, executive director at the Runestone Museum. "They seemed genuinely curious about the stone itself, the controversy surrounding it and additional finds in the area like the Climax Fire Steel (housed at the Runestone Museum), the Sauk Lake Altar Rock and bones discovered in Ashby. Hopefully we'll see the team again this summer."
The crew plans to return for additional filming and is encouraging people to reach out to them with information that could be connected to the Kensington Runestone.
