A Brandon home was destroyed after a fire began in the attached garage in early morning on Sunday, April 30.
According to a media release, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call around 4 a.m. regarding a fire in an attached garage at 10751 White Oak Rd NW in Brandon. The Millerville Fire Department responded and requested mutual aid from the Leaf Valley and Brandon fire departments.
The fire spread to the house, which was a total loss. The occupants of the residence were able to escape with no injuries.
The state fire marshal was notified and will be investigating the fire. Also assisting on scene were the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and North Ambulance. The American Red Cross was notified and is assisting the family.
