Three people have died while recovering from injuries they suffered in crashes on Douglas County roads the last couple of weeks.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, on July 1, Shawn August Olson of Brandon died as a result of his injuries while at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.
That crash took place around 9:20 p.m. June 22 on County Road 108 NW near County Road 7 NW in Brandon Township.

Olson’s passenger, Jeanine Kirscht, 49, of Brandon, died at the scene. Olson and Kirscht, along with another motorcyclist, Levi Donson of Brandon, were westbound on County Road 108 north of Brandon when Olson reportedly crashed his motorcycle in the south ditch.
Lola Anderson, 80, of Farwell also died on July 1. She was involved in a three-vehicle crash on Monday, June 28, around 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 27 and County Road 45 near the Pilot gas station southwest of Alexandria.
The other two drivers – Patrick Cooley, 34, of West Fargo and Matthew Gregersen, 35, of Alexandria – were not injured, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office reported that Cooley was driving a 2014 Mazda 6 southbound on County Road 45 and Anderson, who was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Impala, was turning westbound onto Highway 27 from the off-ramp of Interstate 94. The two vehicles collided and Anderson’s vehicle slid into Gregersen's vehicle, a 2008 Subaru Forester. Gregersen was reportedly stopped at the light on Highway 27 waiting to turn northbound onto County Road 45.
The Alexandria Police Department reported that Michael Milner, 64, of Barrett, died Monday, July 1, as well, from injuries he sustained in a crash that took place on Tuesday, June 29.
The crash happened shortly before 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 82 NW and Karl Drive NW by the Alexandria Area YMCA.

According to the Alexandria Police Department, Milner was driving a 1994 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on County Road 82. His motorcycle struck the passenger side of a Chevy Traverse that was traveling southbound on County Road 45, according to the APD.
The driver, Kelley Mikkelson, 31, of Farwell and her juvenile passenger, were transported to Alomere Health.
