NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
SAUK RIVER WATERSHED
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Managers of the Sauk River Watershed District pursuant to Minnesota Statute 103D.605 will hold a hearing April 16, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at the Sauk River Watershed District office located at 524 Fourth Street South in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. The purpose of the hearing is to consider and take comments on the 2013 Clean Water Fund Conservation Drainage Grant Project.

This project will involve upland drainage conservation tributary to Long Lake, an impaired water body of the Sauk River Chain of Lakes.
Total estimated project cost is $290,087 with $228,587 being provided as a grant from the State of Minnesota and additional funding and in-kind contributions being provided by the Watershed District, local landowners and cooperating local, state and federal agency partners. Funding will be used for planning and implementation of structural best management practices to reduce erosion and reduce sediment and nutrient discharges to Long Lake.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the above mentioned project. Grant funds for this project were provided by the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment.
