Megan Koep finished 10th individually and helped West Central Area to a fifth-place finish at the Heart O' Lakes Girls' Golf Invite at Tipsinah Mounds on Monday.

Koep shot a 47 through nine holes, one shot in front of teammate Ali Schneeberger who finished in 11th place with a 48.

The Knights shot a team score of 209, only one shot off of Hawley-Ulen-Hitterdal's third place score of 208. Perham won the tournament after shooting a 178 and placing five players in the top five, individually.

Taylor Christenson and Sarah Sivertson, also of West Central Area, rounded out the Knight scorers by carding a couple of 57s on the day.

The Knights were tied for fourth place in the HOL standings after the tournament. Perham currently sits in first place.

The West Central Area girls' golf team shot a 229 and finished in fifth place at the Forest Hills Golf Course as Lake Park-Audubon hosted a nine-hole Heart O' Lakes meet.

Ali Schneeberger led the Knight girls with a 48. That was good for fifth place, individually.

Brittany Boysen and Taylor Christenson shot a 58 and 59, respectively, for WCA, while Megan Koep rounded out the scores used for the Knights with a 64. Sarah Sivertson was not far behind that with a 66.

Perham and Pelican Rapids both shot a 197, but Perham won by the tiebreaker because Leah Richter's score was lower than Mackenzie Strand's as the fifth golfers from each team.
