Editor's note: The following letter was sent to Alexandria School District 206 regarding the Cardinal girls hockey team's appearance in the state tournament. The writer consented to publishing it here.

To the editor:

I was the game manager at the Xcel this past week, my 10th year in this position. Although it's four very long days for me, it's teams and coaches like yours that make my job so much fun. They were a class act from the minute they walked into the building, until the last game of the tournament. They were positive, polite, silly, respectful and just a blast to have in the tournament!

They represented your school and community well! I'm very proud of them; as I know you are. Send them my sincere congratulations for an outstanding season and their state championship.
