Lighting up the night in Osakis with holiday spirit

The Osakis Area Chamber of Commerce Board came up with the festive idea last year because it wanted some sort of event that would meet the guidelines for the pandemic but still provide excitement for the holidays.

On Friday, Dec. 3, the Osakis Chamber of Commerce hosted the Osakis Holiday Light Parade, which featured many brightly-lit floats decorated for the holiday season.

This is the second year the event has taken place.

The Osakis Area Chamber of Commerce Board came up with the festive idea last year because it wanted some sort of event that would meet the guidelines for the pandemic but still provide excitement for the holidays, according to Cory Abers, Chamber president.

“We just really want people to come out, enjoy the holidays and show their support for local businesses,” Abers said.
