Marge Van Gorp's birthday draws two five-generation families to Alexandria

Van Gorp wrote the history column for the Echo Press for 15 years.

Family members of Marge Van Gorp traveled near and far for a grand occasion planned by her grandsons on Saturday, June 19 – her 98th birthday.

The celebration took place at Arabella Manor in Alexandria where Van Gorp now lives. Van Gorp wrote the history column for the Echo Press for 15 years.

Family members came from California, Kansas and closer to home in Minnesota – Duluth, Gilbert, Albertville and McGregor.

Adding to the birthday festivities was the gathering of two five-generation families.
