Seniors looking for unbiased information about Medicare can attend a free class offered 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Evansville Care Center, 649 State St. in Evansville, or another class from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20 at the Douglas County Public Works Building, 526 Willow Drive in Alexandria.
Senior LinkAge Line will provide a complete overview of Medicare, including what is covered under Parts A and B, enrollment guidelines, Minnesota options, Advantage Plans (also known as Part C) and Medicare prescription drug coverage (also known as Part D). The classes will also talk about eligibility, how and when to enroll, drug plan costs, choosing a drug plan, prescription assistance programs, and fighting Medicare fraud.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service has designated the Senior LinkAge Line as the Minnesota organization to provide information, counseling and assistance to all Medicare eligible persons across the state.
