Get ready for Osakis Days Festival; several fun activities await

The four-day event starts Thursday, June 23 and continues Sunday, June 26.

OSAKIS — Osakis will be the place to be in Douglas County this weekend.

It's time for the Osakis Days Festival.

The fun starts on Thursday, June 23 with an Osakis Days Social at the VFW at 5 p.m., followed by a dinner at 6 p.m.

This will be followed by three days jam-packed with activities. Here's a rundown of the events:

Friday, June 24

Downtown sidewalk sales will take place all day.
A meat raffle and horse races will place at 5:30 p.m. at the VFW.
Knights Pub and Grub will also offer meat raffles starting at 5:30 p.m.
At 8 p.m., "Junkyard Caddy" will play country western music.

Saturday, June 25

Kids' games will take place at Park Osagi starting at 10 a.m. This will include a bouncy house, Erickson's Petting Zoo, Sorny B's Food Truck and Noble Treats.
At 11 a.m., there will be a sand money hunt, followed by the Red River Pedal Pulls at 1 p.m.
The Osakis VFW will offer bingo at 2 p.m. and will host a street dance at 8 p.m. featuring "If Nothing Else."
Sorny B's Food Truck will also be there.

Sunday, June 26

O-Town Tavern will host a BBQ party on its patio starting at 11 a.m. until the food is gone.
The much-anticipated Osakis Grand Parade will take place at 1 p.m., followed by a firefighters' water fight.
Bingo at the VFW at 2 p.m. will cap off the events.
