Child Care Aware Northwest is 15 days into the annual regional grants being available for licensed family child care educators throughout the Northwest District, which includes Douglas County.

Kelli Rohrer, Child Care Aware coordinator, said, “The application will close on September 25, 2021. After that date, you will no longer be able to access the application. We really hope to see your program apply!”

Counties in the Northwest District include: Clay, Otter Tail, Douglas, Stevens, Traverse, Grant, Pope, Roseau, Kittson, Marshall, Lake of the Woods, Pennington, Norman, Polk, Red Lake, Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Mahnomen, Becker and Wilkin.

The following are some tips from Rohrer:

  • If you have not created an organization account in Develop, you will need to do so in order to apply. The approval process when creating an organization profile can take up to three business days, so make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to do this and submit your application prior to the closing date. Educators with questions on how to create an organizational profile can contact the Develop Help Desk at support@develophelp.zendesk.com or 844-605-6938.
