Glenwood United Parish has hired a new pastor, Yolanda Y. Williams, who started on July 5.

Williams, from Minneapolis, is soon to be a commissioned elder of the United Methodist Church. She has worked as a college and university educator, a musician and a conductor of instrumental and choral groups.

She recently earned her Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary in St. Paul. She already has a masters in vocal performance and a doctorate from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus.

Glenwood United Parish is a joint United Methodist and United Church of Christ congregation that serves the Lake Minnewaska area in Pope County.
