Cornell speaks at luncheon
Dave Cornell has been invited to speak at the Unity Foundation's monthly Faith @ Work lunch in Alexandria.
Cornell is a certified behavioral assessment trainer, facilitator and life/personal development and leadership coach, who encourages people and groups to overcome fears by making courageous choices. He founded Cultivate Courage, LLC, and serves as the senior trainer and coach for The Trust Edge Leadership Institute.
Cornell has more than 35 years experience in sales, sales management and training and development. His message is one of hope and inspiration, and about conquering fear with courage.
The luncheon is from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at the Broadway Ballroom. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the door.
Grief support group to meet
A weekly grief support group begins this week at New Life Christian Church, 1910 County Road 82 SE, in Alexandria.
The 13-week seminar/support group meets Sundays, from Jan. 13 through April 7, from 4-6 p.m. Sessions for widows and widowers will be held Mondays, from Jan. 14 through April 8, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Osakis church hosts friendship meal
First Presbyterian Church of Osakis invites everyone to the Friendship Table Meal at the Fellowship Hall, 101 W. Oak St., on Wednesday, Jan, 23, from 5:30-7 p.m., or until the food is gone. All are welcome, and free-will donations are accepted.
