Keith Martinson piano concert at Mount Carmel
Local musician and composer Keith Martinson will perform a piano concert at Mount Carmel Ministries at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13. Martinson has released five solo piano albums and runs a home recording studio producing music for other artists and recording piano tracks as a remote session musician.
Martinson is a worship musician for his local congregation and calls his style "relaxing." His Mount Carmel concert will feature some of his newest songs and older favorites with stories about their meaning and inspiration.
Neonatologist to speak at Unity luncheon
Dr. Ronald Hoekstra, a Minneapolis-based neonatologist, will speak about trust at noon Friday, Aug. 16 at the Unity Foundation's monthly Faith @ Work Lunch at the Broadway Ballroom.
Hoekstra recently retired from clinical practice after 46 years. He has worked with multiple hospitals in the Twin Cities area, including Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Mercy Hospital and Children's Minnesota, and he co-founded Minnesota Neonatal Physicians. He is also director of NICU Follow-up Program.
Tickets cost $10 per person and can be purchased at the door.
