Car Care Program holds its annual prayer breakfast at its new shop location on County Road 82
The program provides vehicles and education to those in need in both Douglas and Pope counties.
Kris Chisholm, executive director of the Car Care Program, speaks to attendees at the annual Car Care Program Prayer Breakfast at its new repair shop location at 4353 County Road 82 on Tuesday morning. The non- profit program is designed to not only give safe and reliable vehicles to people in need, but to also provide education regarding insurance, finances and basic vehicle maintenance. The organization relies on donations and volunteers to provide its services, which may soon be expanded to include classes for high school students and others, Chisholm said.
The Car Care Program's new location is at 4353 County Road 82 near Alexandria. The building currently has a repair shop in the back, with offices and a community room under construction in the front. Until construction is completed, the program's office is located at 209 6th Avenue East in Alexandria.
