Business leader connects faith and work

Bob Willbanks, the founder of a global Christian networking community, will speak at the Unity Foundation's Faith @ Work Lunch from noon-1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 at the Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria.

Tickets cost $10 per person and can be purchased online or at the door. To keep everyone safe, limited seating is available and may be reserved at sept20fw.eventbrite.com or emailing UnityFoundationAlex@gmail.com .

According to the foundation, Willbanks was saved at an early age but fell quickly into the ways of the world, chasing the American Dream and drinking alcohol. His life became a roller coaster ride of meteoric successes followed by resounding crashes back to earth which led him back to his faith. He is now president of Rosemount, Minnesota-based Ambassadors for Business.

Willbanks will provide practical steps to connect faith and work.

The Unity Foundation will practice the following social distancing guidelines:

  • Guests will be greeted as they come in and asked a series of questions about COVID symptoms.
  • Tables will be positioned 6 feet or more apart, with four people per table.
  • Broadway Ballroom staff will be wearing masks.
  • Lunch will be plated and served – no buffet.
  • Attendees are encouraged to wear masks when not eating or drinking.
  • High-risk individuals may watch a recording online.
