ALEXANDRIA — Coach, faith mentor and author Natalie Dawn Hanson will speak at the noon-1 p.m. Friday, March 17 Faith at Work luncheon at the Broadway Ballroom.

Her talk, "Get Out of Your Own Way—How to Battle the Mind and Soar with Purpose," will addresses the reality of the mental struggle many face and how to change their lives. Her topic includes: recognizing the culprit tearing you down; fighting the mental strain by making seven intentional choices; finding and embracing the "real" you; creating a life you love, where you soar with joy and purpose.

Hanson founded the Arise and Soar Collective, an online community for moms and daughters committed to nurturing faith, deepening relationships, and activating purpose and passion.

Tickets cost $15 per person and can be purchased online or at the door. All attendees must register by Friday, March 10 either at https://mar23fw.eventbrite.com or RSVP via email: UnityFoundationAlex@gmail.com. The Unity Foundation, which organizes the luncheons, says it can no longer guarantee a meal without an advance RSVP.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
