The WoodPicks, five musicians from Thief River Falls, Minnesota, will play at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 2, on the Douglas County Courthouse lawn.
"They got rained out last year," said Chuck Wencl, program director for the Red Willow Arts Coalition, which organizes the concerts. "They're a very popular band. We heard them at the State Fair a few years ago."
The WoodPicks have played several times at the Concerts on the Courthouse Lawn, wearing their trademark pressed jeans, cowboy boots and bolo ties. They perform gospel, bluegrass, country and Americana.
Red Willow is asking concert-goers to follow social distancing guidelines. That includes staying home if not feeling well, wearing face masks and staying apart from non-household members. Popcorn will be self served in boxes and hand washing will be available at the popcorn prep area. Porta-potties will be sanitized weekly.
This week's concert is sponsored by Thrivent Financial.
