Portrait artist Scott Kiemle of Vining will display his work through Saturday, June 26, at the Evansville Art Center, 111 Main St. in Evansville.
The "Portraits in Oil Pastels" show will be open during gallery hours, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Kiemle has been drawing and painting since childhood. His first passion was for drawing monsters in kindergarten. He quickly developed a love for drawing wildlife of all kinds.
He began drawing and painting portraits while in college in New Mexico, where he majored in graphic design and painting. He has worked in a variety of mediums, mostly watercolor and charcoal, but oil pastel is his favorite right now.
He paints portraits of people from all over the world and has exhibited his work in regional galleries in Colorado and Minnesota.
