Female vocalists and an accompanist will close out Theatre L'Homme Dieu's season at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 with a performance of "I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar."
Taking place on the theater's outdoor stage, the concert will showcase tunes made famous by Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Annie Lennox, Carole King, Tina Turner, Judy Garland, Christina Aguilera and others.
Performers will be Lori Dokken at the piano and vocals and Twin Cities vocalists Judi Vinar, Debbie Duncan, Patty Peterson and Rachel Holder.
Theater-goers may watch from their cars or reserve a spot in a designated seating area.
Like most theaters, Theatre L'Homme Dieu was buffaloed by the COVID-19 pandemic and had to hastily devise another plan for its normally busy summer season. Its drive-in series included musical theater and opera, a concert featuring Minnesota bands, and country group Farewell Angelina.
