Judy and Richard N. Owen of Alexandria have given Theatre L'Homme Dieu a $5,000 grant that must be matched by other contributions by the end of 2020, the theater announced.
Theatre L'Homme Dieu brings professional theater, musicians and artists to the lakes area for the summer. It offers indoor and outdoor theater and like most arts organizations saw its programming interrupted by the pandemic this year.
Originally from Minneapolis, the Owens spent 23 years in Omaha before retiring in Alexandria. They run a small rental vacation business and spend winters in Florida.
They have agreed to match donations of $25 or more up to $5,000 by Dec. 31.
