ALEXANDRIA — Sawyer’s Dream will perform at the Saturday Art Market in Big Ole Central Park on July 23.
Inspired by the vocal harmonies of bands such as the Mamas and the Papas, ABBA and Fleetwood Mac, Minneapolis-based Sawyer’s Dream is an established original 1970s vibe band, uniquely cross-blending Americana, pop, rock and soul.
Featuring powerhouse female lead vocals and intricate four-part harmonies, their music is engaging, upbeat and earthy, offering the listener a modern take on classic pop-rock, according to the Alexandria Art Guild.
Formatted for an audience of all ages, Sawyer's Dream's songs will take you back to simpler times — a time of dreams, nature and human kindness.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
